Elaine M published a recipe for Portobella Mushroom Pizza that is absolutely delicious! Last night my daughter, grandson and I tried it. This pizza recipe is easy to make with lots of room for experimenting. Since the mushroom cap serves as the foundation for the pizza, each cap is a serving. We loved the pizzas prepared according to the recipe. After dinner each of us came up with ideas for variations we'd like to try. Next time we can customize our own pizza.
This is a very tasty way to get more vegetables into your diet. The mushroom cap replaces the pizza dough. Portobella mushrooms are low in carbohydrates, calories, and fat. One serving satisfies the "hungries" very well. Check out Elaine's recipe and have a real treat for supper!
