Ever since I can remember, my family has cooked with beer. From chicken to brats and sausages to dips to slow cooked dishes, beer can really add a wonderful layer of flavor.
My particular favorites from allrecipes this week: drunken collard greens, beer bread and the brown sugar-beer marinade.
And remember, when cooking with any beer, spirits or wine, all of the alcohol gets cooked off.

It's worth a try, Sarah.
Yeah, that's the part that sucks. Lol. I like the flavor that adding beer and wine to cooking adds. My favorite is to cook whatever meat I'm using with carrots, onions and wine. Wonderful flavor.
Yup, red wine and beef roast...
We always have it on hand, Risa.
I need to go look at the beer cheese soup and the beer bread.
The only thing I use beer for is on the brats and sausages.
Thanks all!
