I am WAY behind on my recipe a day series.
Here is one that sounds fabulous and so adaptable to anyone's taste. We prefer a dressing that is less sweet, so I would reduce the amount of sugar called for, and use canola or even walnut oil (but much less than one cup). I would add goat cheese and some kind of toasted nuts, such as walnuts, almonds or even pecans. Matt would probably love some red onion as well.
Enjoy!

STRAWBERRY SALAD
1-2 bags Romaine lettuce
1 box sliced fresh strawberries
Dressing:
1/2 cup diced red onion
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup sugar
1Tbsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1 Tbsp. poppy seeds
Combine dressing ingredients and mix well. Refrigerate overnight in tightly covered jar. Slice strawberries. Add to romaine in salad bowl. Toss with dressing just before serving.
Blueberries! Hot damn that would be good!
THanks all!
