My latest cookbook find is 1,001 Recipes- For Every Occasion from Martha Day.
With unusual recipes like Beetroot and Apricot Swirl, Paradise Cake, Quorn and Pork with Lychees to mainstays like Chocolate Chip cookies and Minestrone, this cookbook is sure to have something for everyone.
To me, the best cookbooks are those that have full color pictures of each dish, and this one delivers that. There aren't any unecessary stories or information, just great recipes.
I have already bookmarked almost every page!
I highly recommend this one.

I have so many pages bookmarked in my cookbooks its ridiculous. I was telling John the other day that we could make a different dish every single day of our lives and never repeat the same one twice, if we wanted to.
I am the same way, Mog, especially with my Bon Appetit cookbook. The worst part is that I bookmark them all and forget to go back to them!
Anyway, they just came out with a Highlighter (is that it?0 pen that has mini-post its at the top. They're really small but made a lot of sense. You just highlight whatever you want to on the page and then put a tab on it so that you can see that the page has something highlighted - You don't have to flip pages to find your marks anymore.
They have refills also (do you think I used too many parenthesis here)?
I do the same thing, Robyn. Whatever seems easiest at the time.
LOL, Sharon! You may have paranthe-seed me out! And I just wouldn't use a highlighter in my cookbooks. It just seems like desecration of sorts!
Thanks, Sue. Let me know what she thinks of it.
It certainly isn't mine, Sharon!
I collect cookbooks. I have some really OLD cookbooks. Geez. Now I will have one more NEW cookbook.
Thanks, Katrina.
Lynn, I do have some other recommendations if you want them.
I hope you do, Mama Cee.
Thanks for the review Shannon. I also feel pictures are a must!
