Inspired by two of Aunt Shanny's recipes, What's for Dinner? Ground Beef Balti Kababs and Onion and Feta Naan, I set out to make dinner from a few pantry and freezer staples: crumbled Gorgonzola cheese, ground beef, onions and a bag of newly acquired bread flour. I'll document my journey here through each of the photos below.
Eat up!

Yes indeed Faith! I have a renewed appreciation for everything she puts into her meals and daily food posts here as well. Kudos for hearty, easy recipes to help us all live better on less.
Anytime Rose!
Just trying to help :)
So true Aunt Shanny! Delighted you stopped by.
I do think I may have overcooked the meat. A problem arose in that the middle of the football wasn't cooking through. Perhaps I should have just browned on both sides, and let it rest to finish cooking. Since I kept it warm in the oven, that could have led to the dryness too -- something that could have finished cooking the balls rather than drying them out. ; ) I think you've hit the nail on the head with that one.
