Alas my heart! Alas,
the song has been forgotten...
Your children run to and fro
in this awful land of Goshen.
But my troubles trouble no one;
And my sorrow runs into the ground.
I searched a thousand miles, I swear,
And you were nowhere to be found...
Yet the mountains stand un-moving
And there are still the starry skies,
And I lament your passing there,
Until the day I die.

I think you meant to put 'until' in the last line, but that's okay.
I even made a mistake once! ;)
I keep forgetting and letting the aunt kick in. You know, the one who always keeps wanting to make sure her little niece knows everything she needs to know before she grows up. Only you're way grown, now.
Forgive me and chalk it up to old age.
