Going off a bridge and being stuck in the car. (I always unbuckle my seat belt when going across bridges.)
I started having this fear while I was near death a year and a half ago from a malignant cancerous tumor of the tonsil that spread to my neck and throat, and that miraculously went into remission after an agressive combination treatment of chemo and radiotherapy for ten months and an operation that removed a tonsil, half my lymphatic system and a jugular vein. The fear remained after I got healthy, and I went into a severe depression seven months ago that was finally lifted from me about 10 weeks ago, when the dreams and obsessive thinking about this frightening scenario from a future return of the cancer started to fade away and was replaced by gratitude toward life and a connection with the One.
My kids dieing, or even worse - me dieing and not being able to see them grow up.
My fears held me captive for 40 years. Panic attacks, Agoraphobia, anxiety. Finally I learned of my SELF, and found I became connected to ONE. I belive we are all One, the spokes on a wheel who is the larger ONE.
Thanks John for you story. Write a book on this.
being trapped in an immobile body, FAR more than death.
Watching Mom in the last few weeks, she's have wanted me to put her down if I could.

My #1 fear used to be dying alone. Now it's heights.
Now it's of dying and not having touched a single life, or left any kind of positive mark on the my world that I leave behind. I never want to be forgotten...........silly I know!
is something happening to my son
Oh and yes, I also fear that Karl may be right ;-)
I'm afraid of swimming pools, lakes, rivers, jaccozies, I lived near the ocean but wasn't afraid of that I only went as far as my anchles.
Not that I believe you are, but you could very well be Homeland Security or the FBI, or someone even more dangerous, such as an online predator.
