Women vs. Men ..who gives better directions?

When my hubby drives, I know we always get lost...( Not that he will ever admit it!)

I know I'm in the minority here, but I have to say men give better directions, they're just worse at following them.

It doesn't matter if it is a man or a woman that gives directions. It just matters that they give them the right way. Most people can't give directions to their own house. LOL

I want the GPS manufacturers to come up with an option for choosing voices--celebrity voices. If I had GPS in my vehicle, I'd want it programmed with Morgan Freeman's voice.

I don't do compass directions--too many times a road twists and turns and you wind up going in the opposite direction on a road, hunting for a turn and the next direction is "go South on ...... road". Just tell me distances, left or right, dammit. I used to give landmarks but at the rate buildings are demolished and rebuilt these days, that's not possible any more. Tornadoes came through here last week (Mississippi) and took down several buildings, trees, etc......

I get lost all the time.....and I mean all the time. I can get lost walking around the block..MY wife always tells me where to go. Compass in vans not working right now, She has to tell what direction we are going by the sun.

Um, maps.google.com gives the best directions, hello! So I'd have to say that the answer is (C), IT gives better directions. ;)
I think it is just according to the person. Another question may be: "Which follows directions better?" :)

Women are so much better. A man would drive for an hour when he does not know where he is but a woman would stop and ask directions. women also give better directions.

Well, I know that my husband has much better directional sense then I do so he gives better directions. Unless it's another woman who understands my style of giving directions -- which is based more on landmarks then on East, West, etc. :-)

umm it depends.. somtimes I hand the phone to mu hubby but often times he hands it to me.. so I would say were eaual ;)

Women. My husband is one of those that will say something like "go down this road past the Akers' barn, then turn right where the fish hatchery used to be."

Neither. It depends on the person giving, AND the person receiving the directions. For example: my husband doesn't go by road signs, mile markers, light count, etc. Instead, he knows where he's going by landmarks. So if I'm giving him directions, I'll say something like "Take our road to the road with the Wawa on it, pass Moonbounce adventures, and it'll be on the right hand side. If you go to the intersection where we turn to go to the mall, you've gone too far". Now, my hubby will know exactly where to go. The EXACT same directions, but if I'm talking to my father: "Take 322 West about 1 1/2 miles. The doctor's office will be on the right, right before the route 491 turnoff."
But, I know how they think to get around - one uses road signs and mile markers, the other wouldn't know the name of a road on a bet. So, a person who says "you give good directions" is someone who gets around with the same type of information you do!
