Cheerios and Boxtops

I have such a limited choice of cereals I can eat , because of corn allergies.

Therefore I mostly eat Cheerios, or Rice Krispies.

I always take the boxtop off and send to my friends who have children.

Guess what i just noticed on my last purchase of Cheerios? The Boxtop on top of the box and two bonus boxtops on the front of the box. Three for one.

that happened to me recently i was bad with saving them last year for my kids.. but I am this year :)

I don't know what the schools get, but I do know the children always end up ith a great party, when they all turn theirs in. In the beginning I understood it to be computers and such. Now I do not know. Guess I should go online and google it.

Hmm-I've never saved them, my kids never collected them. Maybe I should try to find a use for them.

Save them up for one of yoour gather friends that have school children. If the schools get help from these companies maybe the might accidently keep our taxes from going up. You never know.

I usually forgot to save them. When I do remember, I give them to my niece or my friend's kids. Kim M wrote an posted an article that a friend of her's who is a teacher (I think) is trying to collect boxtops from all over the country.

We saved them for my kids but the high school doesn't collect them.

Save them for someone with small children. I know sometimes it is just the teachers not wanting to participate. My neighbor is a teacher in the lower grades and none of the teachers will mess with it. But all the smaller schools around do and get great rewards.

If this could help getting schools supplies for the classroom and help in any way I'm willing. Biggest problem I have is remembering to cut them out and save them.

It may just be Cheerios or all General Mills products. Different companies put them on their packages. Last time I looked either Fisher Boy or Gortons fish products from the freezer section, had them on their boxes.
Betty Crocker did but on the last Cake mix I bought there were no tops anymore.
I don't know anyone that collects them - if I did I would save them for them!
I have 2 boxes of cheerios right now~

The schools around here collect Campbell's soup labels and the Box top coupons from Pillsbury products. I don't know if those are the same that are on Cheerios. I never buy Cheerios myself. Will have to look sometime and see.

We buy the store brand cereal so we don't get these but I'm glad you brought it up for those that do. it sounds like a good reminder and a great program.

Many products carry them. Even Flour at one time. It changes from time to time. I just check packages. I have to read them carefully anyway. I am so allergic to corn and most companies now sneak it into their product, in all kind of ways, As a thickener, flour, protien, whey, usually if I dont prepare my own food. That is it.

When I first started saving the boxtops, all General Mills products, Betty Crocker and Gortons fish products had them. Now I do not see them on the Betty Crocker Cake mixes. You just have to check products.

Chloe saves them and takes them up to school. We've been doing that since she started school! I used to save the Campbells labels too but our school quit taking them!

I know Bridget and Faith both do them . Wilma M does them Look at the thread above and perhaps you may want to share or send all your saving to someone here. I always just saved them and when someone came along that saved them. I gave them all I had.....Then would start over again.

My son is in college (and none of his schools ever collected them), but I save them for a teacher friend. Her old school also saved Campbell's soup (and other Campbell's -products) labels, but she changed schools, and her new school only saves the box tops. I think with the box tops, they get cash (10 cents each) that the teacher can use for classroom supplies, etc., or in some cases, the PTA or PTC acts as the clearing house for all the teachers and then the money is either divided among the teachers for their classrooms or used for overall school needs (like toward playground equipment, PE balls, etc.).

Used to save box tops at one time too, now I have trouble remembering to get the cashier to take the save .50 cents label off the item and make sure I get the discount, only reason I probably bought it.
