My new little kitty, Cornelia, came through her spay surgery with flying colors. The only problem is that she tested positive for round worms. This is easily cured with some inexpensive medication. With this diagnosis, she cannot meet my boys, Marius and Tiberius, until she is free of the worms. This will delay introductions for more than a month.
I know Cornelia has had kittens. The people we adopted her from have kept the last of her six kittens. Since round worms are always passed through mother's milk, we will notify them of the problem. The only reason we can contact them is because I kept the Mapquest directions to their house as scrap paper. This was an ad on Craig's List and I didn't keep the phone number.
Round worms are sometimes fatal in adults, and very often fatal in kittens if let untreated.

I'm glad her surgery is over.
The worms will be gone soon and then the fun will begin.
Thanks Elaine. It's hard having to wait for the introductions. I think my boys will really like her and she will keep them moving. Both boys look like they are getting a bit round.
Glad her surgery went well. Good luck introducing her to the other pets.
