Question about Summerpics Tagging

Bobbi, my understanding is that if each photo is not tagged you will not get proper credit. You should be able to edit them so long as it's before tomorrow when the points credit.

I too understand it that you need to tag every photo in your photo essay to get the points.

I am pretty sure they all have to be tagged. If you just posted today, you should be able to go back and tag them.

Just edit all the photos and add the tag before midnight eastern tonight and you'll be fine. You shouldn't tag the article itself anyway since it's just a shell for the photos.

I'm screwed. It was from yesterday. Sigh*

Bobbi, you can delete the article & repost it. A pain, but then you will get the points.

I don't know that just editing them will work. I remember in the Q&A the day after this was announced it was stated that you had to republish photos for summerpics and couldn't just edit previously posted photos and add the summerpics tag. I hope it works for you, but if it doesn't, that's why.

Well, it looks like you got your answer. I'm not motivated enough to upload photos...just call me lazy...I think I'll go write an article with NO pictures.

I did the same thing you did, Bobbi, but realized it right before posting. I went in and edited all the photos to add the tag only to return to the article editor and find that everything I'd done in the article was gone. It was completely blank. So, you might as well whip up a whole new one with the tags in place, because you'd likely have to do that, anyway.

I would think that whatever the comment was that Amy is referring to likely had to do with editing photos published before the promotions' start date. So that is to say that you can't go back over your library of photos and add the tag and expect credit. Instead, you'd have to republish the photo or article. Unless Gather is actually crediting the points for the days' posts at the end of each day. In prior promotions, I thought they'd waited until the promotion was over to credit points. But what do I know? I'm hardly every here anymore, anyway. :-P
