My cat is so weird and unusual. I know that cats sometimes even more so than dogs each have their own personality, but sometimes I have to wonder about her. She acts like a dog in somethings and other things I just don't know what in the world she's doing. Maybe you guys can relate.
She comes when you whistle at her. Very dog like if you ask me.
She loves to drag stuffed animals around the house. Usually they have to be at least as big as she is if not bigger. This I just don't understand. I definitely thought this was a dog thing.
She likes to get under the covers. Even in summer time. She'll be in the bedroom by herself in between the blanket and the sheet on the bed. Or if my husband and I are covering up with a blanket, she'll crawl under the blanket and sit in between our legs... I'm not sure what this one is about.
She will go into another room and make noises so pitful it sounds like she's caught herself in something. Alas, she hasn't. I don't know what she's doing.
I've actually taught her how to beg. When I give her a treat, she'll stand up on her lind legs even better than any dog I've seen.
Course then there was the time that she stole the Tomato right off the windowsill. I think I posted an article about it somewhere. She didn't eat the tomato just put a few tooth holes in it. It was funny I have to say.
She's really a lovable, fun cat, but I do have to wonder about her sometimes.

cats are just so funny.
Fancy is a kitten we just got her about a week ago. Rotten little thing but loving. She loves to sleep in James' room.
She drags stuffed animals around because she is pretennding they are kittens.
One of my females has adopted the cocker spaniel. She watches over him and purrs around him because to her, he is her kitten.
We taught all of our cats & dogs as well, to come when we snap our fingers.
Never trust a man ( or woman ) who hates cats. That's just my own not so humble opinion.

One of the simplest and most common is the old "made ya look" ploy. You see your cat staring at something, so you look. There's nothing and you look back at the cat and you know it's snickering!
My indoor kitty fetches, too.
I clap my hands or snap my fingers to call her and most of the time, she does.
My other cat Lucky is pretty much the same that she comes when called, but, rarely.
And, she doesn't beg for table scraps, she begs only for cat food.
We had two other cats that wanted nothing to do with that little tom cat.
Dogs are funny- but cats have lots of quirks. Cute cat.
Each has a mind of its own and nothing surprises me about Cats...they have been with us for about nine thousand years from archaeological records showing a cat being buried with a human.

sigh.... Cats and Dogs have very individual personalities. All my old stereotypes of cats are out the window since I became a cat mom a little more than a decade ago.

I can relate to you on the weird behaviors of cats,moms doesn't beg she just simply demends that mom share her food and if mom is too slow for Cuddles she will stick her little paws in moms plate or bowl and scoop out some of whatever mom has.
She loves to be in moms face and sometimes thats not close enough to mama to suit cuddles so she wraps herself around moms head and neck trying to get her cute little orange furry face CLOSER to mama.
Sometimes if mom has been gone for more than 3-5 hours she'll start meowing in such a way when mom gets home that it sounds like she's saying mama mama maaaammmmmaaaa.
Cuddles is almost 7 years old.
Some of what your cat does sounds like it thinks its a dog,as for sleeping between you and your husband well.... my first thought is birth control,the cat wants you all to herself and doesn't want to share so thus she figures that if she sleeps between you and your husband they're won't be much of a chance for you to bring a baby home.
