I won an eye shadow from that company from Allure once. Sephora doesn't make it, btw, they sell it. Bare Escentuals is the actual brand name.

It is all I use. I've used it for several years now, and would never go back to liquid or cream makeup. It takes a little getting used to at first, but once you wear it...everything else feels like glue on your face. I use many of the products and love them all.

I think you'll find that Sephoria "sells name brand and designer cosmetics and fragrances." I copied this statement from their web site. Bare Escentuals is sold many places and the sale prices on QVC on line are usually the lowest.

When you buy the starter kit it contains a video of Leslie Blodgett talking about why she created Bare Escentuals make-up and how to apply it. There is a trick to it. I love the minerals only make-up. I just go to bed in it and it's absorbed in the morning because my face cloth is clean when I wash my face. No clogged pores or nasty chemicals to cause breakouts. It lasts a long time too, which brings down the cost of a small box of base.

The only negative thing I can say is that if you aren't careful you waste some because it is like loose powder. I've started mixing and swerling it with the brush in the cover of the box and doing it over waxed paper so I can pick up and re-box the spills. Don't forget to tap the excess off the brush before you apply it. Take time to learn how to use it properly and you'll love it. Full disclosure: I am just a satisfied customer.

I have seen the infomercials, and it looked good. There are a lot of knockoffs out there that I have read about as well. I have read good things about both bare ess. and the knock offs in glamour and allue. I wish that I could think of the names of the others, sorry.

To me, it seems a bit expensive for me to try on a whim. (I have pretty sensitive skin and a lot of stuff won't work.) I did find some like it on http://www.eyeslipsface.com/default.asp for a good price to try.

I generally get mine at an actual Bare Escentials store, but Sephora does carry many of the products. The nice thing about Sephora is that you can ask for samples of all of the products, and actually try them at home before buying them. It is easy to spill, but a little goes a long way. The eyebrow powder and eye shadows last forever!

I absolutely love Bare Escentuals!! I buy mine at Ulta now since it is closer to me than Sephora is. I wear the makeup in the Light and the Mineral veil which goes on over the blush. It leaves your face almost looking porcelain like in smoothness. I have never seen a product so wonderful!! I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone!

They have now come out with a new product that is supposed to be good for anyone with any type of blemishes or open pores. It is supposed to heal your face of unsightly blemishes and help with the open pores. I am going to buy it and hopefully it will do exactly as has been advertised. I will let you all know once I try it.

Good luck to anyone wanting to try something new and innovative. I might add that it is also a superior product for the spring and summer as it helps your face from unsightly shine and perspiration.

I just got a gift card for their store. I can't wait to go on Saturday and get my "make under" and pick my colors. I also have $210 of holiday money and I am going to Sephora to buy lots of stuff there too. I have their Blemish thing (a big sample) and I have tried a couple of their other products. I have used another company of mineral cosmetics and I adore them. I can't wait to get all of my Bare Escentuals stuff and start playing with it. I also have their Buxom Babes lips glosses. I got 4 colors in one box. Love them all.
