White bubbling foamy caps,
Atop the deep blue seas,
Waves rushing to nowhere,
A cool and gentle breeze
Crisp and clean ocean air
Gulls soaring overhead
The wake of a fast boat
No stormfronts here to dread
Heading for open sea
All aboard come alive
Fishing an easy lure
For the long morning drive
Their anticipation
Of triumph in the day
Casting out their lines
To lure the fish their way
Thoughts of sounds of sizzle
Hot griddles full of fish
Plenty of side choices
Waiting tasty on their dish
A grand feast for a king
Waiting just to be had
If the fishings no good
They'll wind up kinda sad.
Memories to treasure,
The fish that got away
Stories now repeated
Of one fine summer day
