One thing you have to remember is that snacking does not replace a meal. You should spread your meals and your snacks apart an hour or two and the snacks should only be a couple hundred calories or less. Snacking in between meals can actually curb your appetite when it is time to eat your next meal. So if you have a big dinner party with some friends or family, eat a healthy snack before you go and this can prevent you from ordering and finishing a big entree with thousands of calories.
