I've been really busy, and, although I've been active on Gather, reading, commenting, listening to the First Tracks, voting, looking at other people's photos, I haven't had time to post.
I do have good news! I forgot to weigh in last Friday morning (my self-imposed schedule), but did weigh in on Saturday. I had lost 8 pounds. That's huge for me. Never mind that I gained 5 pounds just a few weeks ago, for a net loss of 3 pounds--8 pounds sounds so much better. It really inspired me to keep on keeping on with my health commitment.
I have been more active with the Bounceback Chair. One of these days, I will publish a photo and description of it and the exercises I do on it. I have also pretty much adopted a pattern or eating my larger meal at lunchtime and eating lighter at night. Hopefully, that will help, too. There has also not been any chocolate in the house (thanks, Mike!) for a couple of weeks, except the sugar-free stuff I use as an occasional snack. I'm out of those right now, anyway.
I've been cooking more as opposed to nuking frozen food, and being careful about what I eat. Also did some hall-walking (as per Beth L.), although not as much as I should. I do try to eat some cabbage cole slaw every day, drink V-8 juice to supplement my veggies, and make my fruit salad, which seems more satisfying than just a piece of fruit.
This is all helpful with the Diabetes, too, and my blood sugar readings have been very good.
We just bought a new load of supplements and vitamins, and I think they will be helpful, too, especially with water retention. At least I'm hoping.
So, to everyone out there who is struggling with weight issues, I have to say, don't give up. It took me over a month, and I must admit to not being as dedicated as I could have been, but I have LOST 8 POUNDS! Woo-hoo. ;-)
