Don't be in a hurry when going to the supermarket. Here are a few tips to keep your grocery bills down:
-Before heading out, check advertising circulars carefully. Know your prices. Just because something is on sale, doesn't mean it's a good buy.
-Shop without kids. You can think, keep track of spending and prevent impulsive additions to the shopping cart.
-Don't shop when you're hungry. Eat first to avoid temptation.
-Take a list and don't buy anything else unless it's a food basic or a true bargain.
-When you see an aisle end-cap display of a product you want, check the price against the prices on the shelf. Shelf prices may actually be lower, according to editors of ShopSmart.
-Buy the whole melon, vegetable or cheese block. Prepackaged, cut up selections cost much more.
-Try the store brands. You'll probably pay less without sacrificing quality.
-Shop with cash if you tend to overspend. Stay within your budget by taking a few dollars more than you estimate you'll need.
-Keep a mental or written tally of your total as you shop. Round up to the nearest 50¢ or dollar. By rounding up, your total will be lower than anticipated.
-Don't forget the coupons!
-If you use a discount card and the receipt shows that you've saved $15.62, when you get home, put $15.62 in a bank or jar. This way, you are actually saving that money, not just paying less.
Happy Shopping!

Congrats! And thanks again for posting to the group!
Thanks again.
One other tip. Don't take your husband! I shop better alone. I love him dearly, but he doesn't have the same patience I do and tries to rush me and then I don't shop as wisely.
good tips thanks
