Last month I posted about my son's close call with heart and kidney failure. We've tried to get him in an assisted living facility but no success. I've been taking care of him, watching his meds and diet and making him move around more than he wants too. A visiting nurse and a physical therapist have been coming 3 times a week. He's made a great improvement. It hasn't been easy because he wants to eat what he wants regardless and doesn't want to keep to a schedule. I can be pretty bossy so guess who wins the arguments? LOL
Last weekend my grandson, his 20 yr. old son, found an apartment for the 2 of them. By doing that he qualifies for Meals on Wheels, and a house cleaner once a week. They have a local lady who will look in on him when my grandson is at work. They finally got moved a couple days ago and it seems to be working out great. I know I'm relieved. I finally have my life back and a lot less work. The cooking and laundry and arguments were beginning to take a toll on me and I resented my lack of privacy.
I still have a 17 yr. old grandson living here through the week and going to school but he's no problem. He helps with whatever needs doing and he's good company. With 3 extra people to feed and launder for, it's been a real strain on my finances. Now maybe I'll have time to gather again.

I can't imagine having to deal with all that. She's way tougher than I am.
