Wow! Those are wonderful!

These are the types of early birds I don't mind. The late shopper can stay away permanently! I enjoy raccoons and would have been out there feeding them.

This is awesome, - I too could take the earlybird shoppers too but I do not about the late ones, - I would just tell them they were too late!!!!!!!!!! LOL Your pictures are fabulous I really enjoyed this photo essay!!!!!

Rob, I didn't mind them too much. I really don't want to encourage them to get any closer than they do here. Between the dog and my son I don't want either getting bit. They are around often and all times of the day.

Heather, the first time I saw a raccoon was here in Florida. I am a city girl! Our wildlife are squirrels and birds.

LOL Victoria! They are iguanas! Yes, they are wild. I have heard that they were pets at one time that people let loose but I don't know how true that is. I hadn't really seen them for a few months but they seem to be coming around. The scariest part of them is when they fall out of the trees. They make big thuds! I happen to be packing up and saw this one on the driveway. By the time I got the camera he was already in the grass. They seem to like this particular tree because they are in it often.

Sue, they are horrible! They tear up everything and make holes all over the place. Not to mention the garbage can they knocked over the other night. I planted some seeds in a window box last year and the ate them! Then my son played with he dirt in the window box. I don't even try to plant anything anymore.

Thanks for sharing neat pictures, haven't seen coons around here in a long time. Don't have lizards though. Nature center near up said they had classes on how to find them around here. Though It was too cold for them hear.

Karolyn Q, this was totally fabulous and I can tell you love nature and all God's little critters - I'm the same way - by the way, that looked more like an Iguana than a regular lizard - and you've certainly spoiled these raccoons, I am sure! Salud.

Oh, this is great! I love the raccoons and haven't seen lizards of any kind since we lived in Florida, a few years ago (we lasted about four years, before coming home to Connecticut!). You just might have raccoon babies in a few weeks - and we want pictures of them too, if you see them! :)

It is an iguana Mariana. Yes, the racoons are spoiled. They attack my garbage almost every day!

Marilyn: There are frequently babies. Not alot of them make it. One had died in my backyard a few weeks ago. My husband had to take care of it. It is hard to get photos of the babies sometimes but I keep trying!

Karolyn...what early birds you had!!!! Did the raccoons buy anything...they are kind of tight with their money! And what about the lizard...or was he broke?

Unfortunately for me Elizabeth, I didn't have anything they wanted to buy. The iguana came by hoping to get a steal but I wasn't bargaining! lol

Didn't they buy anything? I don't see them taking anything along with them when they left. That lizard looks way too big for me!! You can keep him.

Thank you Necee! Michael watches them and watches when one of us takes photos. We also always remind him not to go near the racoons. I had a scare the other night when I was walking he dog and found two right behind us! They weren't interested in bothering us but my dog is getting older and slower lately. The cats in the neighborhood realize they are safe when my dog is around. They actually come up to a few feet of her and sit and look at us go by. It definitely wasn't like that a few years ago!

I know the raccoons would bite, but would the iguana? I'd be afraid to own my cats with those big suckers roaming around!

He is a big one Jennifer. There are alot around here like that.

I am not sure Erin but I am also not eager to find out! There are plenty of cats on my block and I don't think they have been bit.

We have raccoons as well! I am not as happy about having them as you are, though.

Our raccoons walk into the garage and drag the garbage can down the driveway. We had one heathen who found chicken bones and was eating them on Good Friday...
