2 years ago, Kyleigh was under a year old and we didn't want to take her out in the cold. Last year, Kyleigh was in Taiwan. So this year is technically Kyleigh's first Halloween. It is also my first Halloween because I grew up in Taiwan and never really had a chance to participate in Trick-or-Treats.
At the beginning of October, I bought 2 large pumpkins and 1 baby pumpkin, and decorated the front porch. We told Kyleigh those were Pumpkin Daddy, Pumpkin Mommy, and Pumpkin Baby. Kyleigh liked her Pumpkin Baby counterpart very much, and insisted in taking it inside the house. I guess she didn't want the baby to get rained on.

I also bought the pumpkin basket and explained to her that she could use it to get candies on Halloween. As soon as I told her, she grabbed the basket and headed out. "Na tang guo (go get candies)! Na tang guo!" she said. I had to stop her and told her to wait another 4 weeks.
We asked Kyleigh what she wanted to dress up as, but she didn't have any answer. So we'll probably just go easy and dress her up as a princess.
Tomorrow they have a Halloween party at the day care. Then my husband's base will have another Halloween party. Then Saturday we will be going to the Fair Oaks Mall for Trick-or-Treat. I figure it's safer and warmer inside the shopping mall.
I hope Kyleigh will have a lot of fun.
