Ladies, there are many ways to impress guys. Just showing up is half of it! Of course, it doesn't make it easy on him but there are some great ways to have him eating out of your hand before the evening is through.
First, compliment him often. Men are more self conscious than you realize and if you compliment him then he will feel like a Million bucks and treat you like a Billion bucks!
This one is really easy. All you have to do is let him catch you looking at him from the corner of your eye. Hold his attention for 2 seconds and then look away AS you smile. If you do it right, you've got him!

If you don't believe me, try it. Red has deep symbolic and psychological effects on the human mind. It has been shown to increase blood pressure and heart rate. Wear red and he'll be ready for love. ;-)
