Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt (Daddy's side) arrived in the afternoon of 12/27/2008, after their car was fixed. After dinner, we did the gift opening thing for our second Christmas. Kyleigh didn't even notice all the new gift boxes under the Christmas tree until I pointed them out.

The first gift for Kyleigh was a doll bed hand-made by Grandpa, with many butterflies and Kyleigh's name on the end. Kyleigh was very excited and exclaimed, "Butterfly!" We were all cheering because she said the new word very clearly. Kyleigh wanted to climb in there, but we told her no, the bed was for dolls. So we put Little Bee in there.

We told Kyleigh the doll bed was a gift from Grandpa, and asked her to say, "Xie xie ye ye (Thank you, Grandpa)." Kyleigh followed and ran over to sit on Grandpa's laps.

Kyleigh learned quickly from the gift opening experience on Christmas Day. She quickly got into the tearing and ripping, and looked much more energetic. The next gift opened was a Christmas song CD.

Oh, Kyleigh got another doll stroller! Daddy suggested that we could keep one indoors and use the other outdoors. Kyleigh was just the same excited, and test-drove it with Little Bee. The first stroller (the purple one) was in the upper right hand corner of the picture.

As part of the doll bed set, Kyleigh also received a hand-sewn blanket from Grandma. The pattern was from the scraps of the materials used to make my husband's sisters' baby clothes.
