Gift Giving for the Holidays

The holidays always make me somewhat antsy. I'm not sure why - I think it's truly because spending time shopping for gifts is the wrong way to spend the holidays. Don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate the joy of gift giving and what it means to give someone something they really want, but seriously, I think it's gotten a little out of hand.

So I've come up with a solution...err, well more appropriately, I've found a book that's come up with a solution. The book is called Luscious Liqueurs, and it contains a ton of information on infusing liqueurs at home. One look and I knew these would make incredible gifts. I've already tried a few - ones flavored like pineapple, papaya, and peach...my goodness they are a delight! I'm trying the latest one, October Prescription, which is a blend of apple juice, brandy, dark brown sugar, and vanilla, and I can't wait. I'm giving that one to my grandmother. I think she'll appreciate it!

I already have the bottles picked out, which are going to look fantastic! They're from Ebottles, and should be here this week. If all goes to plan, I'll have almost all of my gifts taken care of, which means a minimal amount of shopping for me.
