This is the first summer since having kids that I can remember getting all hyped up to get some summer reading done. Didn't get through a whole lot, but some is better than none!!
So I got through "Cardinal Sins" by Andrew Greely about two men as they go through life on their journey through the Catholic Church with one becoming a Cardinal and the other leading his life as a priest.
Next was "Her Sister's Keeper" by Jodi Picult (?) read it b/c I heard that the book was better than the movie. Got a little annoyed at times with all the changes in POV, but the ending came out of now-where. Do not recommend trying to finish the book 2-3 hours after you normally go to bed either...:)
Started reading Elizabeth Edwards' "Resilience" and am about half way through. Love her, but just not into the non-fiction stuff right now...
Now working on "The Other Boylen Girl" by Phillipa Greagory (I think). I saw that she has a whole series on the Tudor time period but thought that I should start with this one...only a couple chapters into it and it seems pretty good.
Ususally everyone does their summer reading lists at the beginning of the summer, but now that we're nearing the end of the summer--what books have you gotten through and/or what ones do you wish you had or still have waiting in the wings?
