I would look it up. or call the pokice station and ask.
I agree with Kimberly, I would call the Sheriff office and ask them.
Are you sure there are no seatbelts?Ours were buried but we had them and it was a 1989 model.
sometimes they are buried under the couch, but i would also call the local police and ask orr maybe have them help you find them.
I would check it out too. I take my grands with me lots of places and only have one of those booster things, but the others are seatbelted in and I make them sit still too, LOL.
An RV would fall under the same classification as a school bus, for instance. If a child is riding up front in the passenger's seat; they would be required to have a seat belt on. Being in the back of the RV would not require one. (Of course, under a certain age, it would be highly recommended they be in a safety seat.) Many school buses don't have seat belts, so there's nothing for a child to use to be restrained. As the others have said, contact law enforcement to find out the legality of it all.
Poke around, most RV's have seatbelts but they get hidden. If your's doesn't you can install lap belts very easily. Remove them from an old vehicle or buy replacement ones and bolt them in.
It is against the law in most states for them to ride without a seatbelt. We looked into it when we were purchasing an RV and had to make sure we got one with enough belts (we have 4 children.)
The only place they can legally ride without a belt is the schoolbus.
Which is kinda crazy if you think about it. Kids spend much more time and log many more road hours riding the bus to school than they ever will in the family RV. School busses should have seat belts as well.
"Buckle up for safety, buckle up..." Remember the ditty? Thanks for sharing this. You got some good answers.
Here only people in the front seat have to wear a seat belt. That goes for cars, too.
I can only dream of an RV so I am sure no help
If there aren't any seatbelts in the vehicle, the law doesn't require seatbelts to be worn in ANY vehicle that didn't come stocked with them!
My parents have a 1964 Bonneville that did not have seatbelts when it was made. Law is - you don't have to wear one no matter what your age in the vehicle!
