It's Weekend...

I live in the heart of the cafe district with many sidewalk coffee shops and eateries. There's always many people visiting here, so the neighborhood is always busy and filled with people...happy people having a good time. We have many celebrations here around the year...the best strip in the city to live on.

Oh! really... I can tell from your comment that it's a city of fun where love is shared.

I live in a suburban area. On weekends, we get together to cook out and play games. Sometimes we have a saturday night party with our neighbors.

My city is a college town with two universities, and a large community college. This city is also the capitol of Florida, therefore we have several beautiful buildings and a stunning array of public parks and gathering places.

Because it is summer, many students have left town until Fall. There isn't much happening with the state government, either, since the legislative session ended two weeks ago.

But! The artistic community continues to thrive with several poetry readings, concerts, and our First Friday art walk. A comedy improvisation geared toward people of diverse sexual preferences premiers near one of the college campuses. Lectures and presentations are being offered from subjects that range from habitat preservation to Transcendental Meditation.

It's a great place to live if you can tolerate the heat.

I don't think anything special goes on on the weekends that doesn't go on during the week. Tomorrow we are having a yard sale .....neighborhood yard sale time in my area.

Well in the UK it is much the same as The US, I used to work in retail which meant I worked many weekends, so after a career change I have weekends free and it seems so good, almost naughty but nice.

yeah, on sunny days, people in Massachusetts go to the beach or hiking, or shopping, eat out at cafes (not as many as in the French cities of France or Montreal) but some in the expensive shopping areas...

on Rainy days like this weekend, people will...well...

I'll be working on a manuscript.

Well in Utah we have lost of family activities and parks and movies and kids friendly places. It is a bit cool for camping, yet we do a lot of that. This is also the season for all kind of fairs and fandom activities. Many city days celebrations and many have fire works. School is getting out and Lagoon is open to keep young ones happy. (A Big entertainment park.) Swimming pools are also open. Theater is my favorite.

Often my weekend activities are for going to the market, fishing, visiting with family and neighbors, weeding my plants or just relaxing with music and/or writing.

This is florida, so many go to the beach,of course, or the movies for the airconditioning. I like to "people watch" at the mall. We cook out, enjoy neighborhood walks, go to the library....

I live in Wisconsin right on Lake Michigan and folks here fish, go boating or hiking. We also have a heritage center that has barn dances and sheep shearings etc, Lately there have been farm celebrations with hay rides etc. I, however, have to work on the weekends.
