Remember When 30 Was Old?

When I was growing up I remember thinking gee, 30 is really old. Anyone else think that?

And I never thought I'd make it that far.

I am wrong on both accounts.

Also, I remember thinking of crazy ideas I was gung ho to go ahead and try, and always trying new things. Today, I look back and think, if I only knew then what I know now.

Yes I dud-I also thought 60 was ancient but I look at my mom who is 63 and doesn't look or act like it! I am 37 and was carded for smokes last week-that was great!!

yes, i remember was 30 was old and now i realize it was probably the perfect age, not too young, not too old, life was good. You reach 40 and it seems like all of a sudden you are old or middle age and it hits you overnight. You realize there is no going back your best days (physically) are behind you and now when you go to the doctor for something you usually are stuck with it for life (osteoarthristis, diabetes, etc.)

Oh yeah - 30 was old as dirt. Now that I am way past that...well you know the rest of the story. LOL

I'm one of those rare people that never really thought 30 was old. My supervisor howver a couple weeks ago said she was going to be old soon (turning 30). I looked at her and asked if I was ancient if she was going to be old. She thought I was younger than her (I'm a few yrs older), so that turned out to be ok. =)

When I was a teenager I thought 30 was so old, but now I'm 32 and don't feel any older than a teenager except for being in pain all the time, ha .
