My sister Angie lost her battle with Cancer on Wednesday May 28, 2008. This was her 3rd battle with cancer, she was 48 years old. My grief reaches to my very soul.
I am so sorry for your loss. I will pray that God guides you in his power and helps you deal with the grief. There are no words that can take the pain away. I hope you keep her memory alive and make a difference in this world in her name. (((HUGS)))) my friend.
At a time like this, what can be said by those who did not know your dear sister except to offer condolences and hope that there will be a tomorrow filed with love and support by those who knew the two of you.
Hi, Roxanne... We're not "connected" but I heard of your loss via the "Gather Grapevine" and just wanted to express my sincerest condolences on the loss of your dear sister... I don't know what I (or anyone, for that matter) could say to help ease your pain but I DO know that our "energies" -- our "souls" (for lack of a better word) -- live on... I know because I have experienced communication with my loved ones who have passed... I truly, TRULY believe their essences are around me as I believe your sister's is around you and all of those she loves...
oh my dear...i'm so sorry for your loss... may God comfort you in this time of grief... Cancer is so horrible... it took my Mom at 59... i feel your pain...
I am so sorry that you had to go through the painful experience of losing her. She looks like she was a beautiful person. God comfort you at this time is my prayer.
Thank you all! I am attending grief counseling and sharing the information with my large extended family. Even though I went to counseling very early, I am the type of person that wants to know how things may progress (they recommend at least 6 to 8 weeks after death). I believe this information is helping me to work through this better and also to help me guide my family members through this difficult time. Some of my family members were in denial about her rapid deterioration and how quickly she declined in health (about 1 week). It's been extremely hard on my mother, to lose a child.
Sorry to hear about this. Hope you and your family are recovering from the grief that you feel. Thanks for commenting on my mother. I think it helps to share. One person's grief is another person's burden. When we share, it lightens the load. Peace!
