HELP! Photo upload question!

I recently transferred some pictures from my parent's home computer to my laptop. Now when I try to upload them it says that gather cannot upload them because of the file format. Is there anyway I can change them to the right file?

They have to be jpg.

Just resave them over to jpg....I use a paint program to resave mine.

Open them in your graphics program and "save as" .jpg

Check if they're tif, change them to jpg and cut down their size.

Mark sure they are a jpg and RGB color (not CYMK)
