A real blond joke

One of the ladies I work with in the ferret club is blond. Very blond. She's a nice person, but sometimes she's very hard to understand.

One day she was at a Petco doing a FAD (Ferret Awareness Day) for the shelter. I called to see how things were going. She had done quite well, getting a whole page of people interested in being on the club's mailing list, and one person even joined the club and was planning to help the shelter by fostering a ferret. My friend said, "You know her. She brought that emancipated ferret for you to look at."

"Huh?" I said. "Emancipated ferret? Do you mean some ferret someone had lost or let loose?" I was trying to remember the few people who had brought me a loose ferret in the last year or so ...

"No," she said. "Emancipated. You know ... really boney and skinny!"

Snort. "Oh, you mean emaciated," I replied.

"You know what I meant!" she retorted.

"Well, no I didn't, actually. I was thinking "emancipated" like "freed the slaves," you know?"

ROTFL! She's a hoot.
