I give my two younger kids an allowance. It is two dollars a week. One dollar goes straight to the bank. (they both recently have gotten savings accounts)
For my teen no. He won't do what he is told...not even chores.
I did give at $10 allowance last summer for chores, but this year my older one is working and my younger one will be at an academic program for 6 weeks, so I doubt he will have much time for chores

Yes. She has small chores and receives something for each chore done. She is 5 and I started last year. she has control of where it is spent. Hopefully this will help teach her the value of a dollar.
My children get $1.00 a week if there room is clean if not they don't get anything. They can also earn money for doing other chores. But those opportunities come as needed. I pay anywhere from .50 to a $1.00 depending on the chore. But I have given a little more on occasion.

we dont actually do allowance.. My daughter who is 8 cleans her room and helps pick up toys and gets the laundry out of the dryer for me cause its hard for me to bend over and do it but other than that she does not do much.. her rewards are playing the wii or something fun.. She buys things alot tooo so thats pretty much how we reward her..
