My daughter is almost 18 and wants to start her life. I understand how hard it is to be inbetween a child and an adult. It is sooooooooooo hard. At 17 I thought as she does that I knew it all. I try to be patient but Man O Man it's so hard.
I look at her and see how beautiful she is on the inside and outside. I see how scared she is but I also see a determination to do it all on her own. I am so proud of her. She does need to understand she is not quite ready to fly yet......she needs to finish high school and then, only then can she make her own decisions. I pray every day that life doesn't hit her too hard and that I did a good job.
She is awesome and I'm so proud of her. She just needs a little more patience and perserverance and then it's time for her to fly.

All you can do is your best when raising them and hope that god takes care of the rest.

Here is the advice I gave my son when he graduated college (out of town) this time last year....
"You already come and go as you wish, and we have lived like room mates for years--stay home and save money until you get married and HAVE to start paying for all the expensive stuff in life." He is.
I married the first time at 17 just to get out of my parents house.
It worked but the marriage didn't. I never went or looked back.
Your daughter sounds wonderful!
Sounds like she had a great leader. She'll be just fine. Now what are we going to do about you?
boy will be boys...
She is very lucky to have a Mom like you. Treasure and savor each moment you have my friend.
