This is my friend Veron he was 58 when he killed this first deer. He had been hunting for only three years when he got this 6 point buck.
From the story that was told to be by Veron and others who was with him on this hunt. It was a easy kill the deer was about 40 yards in an open field. As Veron sat for about a half an hour in some thick brush with his gun at rest. As the deer walked along Veron took aim with a steady hand and with a kick from his ( 270 ruger with 115 grain hornady bullets ) he killed his first deer on the very first shot. The deer took a few steps and was down.
