Lordy, I feel like I have been a member of Gather FOREVER and have never been able to cash in for a good gift card. I am 625 points away from cashing in and cannot imagine how long it is going to take me to acheive it.
PLEASE OH PLEASE.....COULD EVERYONE JUST MAKE A POST TO ME ON THIS POSTING TO DROP IN AND SAY HELLO OR RATE ME A 10?

I am trying to cash in for gift cards to help my son and new daughter in law with furnishing their first apartment. My son is 19 and his wife is almost 18 and he is in the army and they are expecting their first baby. They have nothing for ahouse and nothing for a baby so, I am trying to help them out a bit.

Comments do not generate any points - Tom (the CEO of Gather) has even admitted as much. It might be better if you publish a ton of photos so we can help by going through and viewing/rating them. It would ALSO be a good idea for you to keep a tab, or two, or 3 (I always keep 2 - 3 open myself) of different Gather member's images. No matter WHAT you are doing online at the time, even if you are just checking your email, you can easily and really quickly, click over, rate 10, click next, and so on and so on. You'll notice a much larger increase in your points since it's generally based on page views more than anything else.
Also - remember that the points only updated once an hour, normally between 5 and 10 minutes after the hour. So don't even bother looking at your points between updates, they won't change at all.
The fact that you have so few points means you hae a LIFE! haha

My suggestion to you is to comment, rate, comment, rate, etc. I was able to cash out in December for a $25 GC. I'm now at 2483 and don't plan on cashing out again for a while. I actually have not been interested in just the points as of late. I've mostly been involved in the First Tracks. But since that won't get running again until 4/21 - I'll probably be back to rating/commenting.
I only now have 360 points to go.
