Yesterday was my 43rd birthday. I had to go to a Christmas party and take an appetizer or snack food. I decided to make my famous Beer Cheese Dip for the party. I went to the grocery store and bought all of the breads and cheeses that I needed but they only sell beer in 6-packs and cases and I only needed one can. We don't drink beer in my house because me and hubby are whisky drinkers. I went to the gas station to buy my single can of beer.
I take my individual can up to the register and this teenage kid rings up my beer and says $1.19 please. I say to him, "do you need to see my ID" he says "No, I know you are over 40" I said to that kid "OH......YOU ARE GOING DOWN...." LOL
He obviously hasn't learned the right things to say to 1. a lady and 2. a lady over 40 !!
LOL
Just for the record, people usually tell me that I look age wise like I am around 34.

I sometimes get carded sometimes I don't. I used to get carded at the movie theater and that'd really tick me off because I, in no way, look 16.. The last time I got carded at a resturant for a drink, the waitress almost laughed at herself and said well I guess you're old enough.. hah..
But I guess there's a point where you don't want to be flat out told that you're OLD ENOUGH.. heh.. :)
I thought Houston, TX was the only place you can buy beer at a gas station. Concealed weapons go great with beer.
Happy Holidays to you and yours!
So, I understand your situation.
