I am back from that sad trip home of seeing my younger sister buried in the Philippines.  I have been trying to catch up since, mostly lurking and not commenting much on Gather.

Until I can face my mailbox to individually answer the many comforting letters that poured in, without breaking down in tears,  I hope my friends and connections will forgive my silence and my absence from their threads.

To all who sent such warm words of support and love, thank you from the bottom of my heart!  I love you all!

Ah Duckie, I feel for you, my dear. Nothing is as touch as losing a family member. It is catastrophic, especially when you are thousands of miles away (this has happened twice to me, once with my father and then with my brother.) I also relate to ´lurking´on Gather but not contributing; I have been in a similiar situation. I just wish you all the best. You have been a wonderful member of this blog to get to know. I hope you cheer up soon, my dear.

Duckie, I am so sorry about your sister, and especially that you didn't get to see her before she died.

(I am selfish though and still hope to see some of those pictures from the Philippines, cloudy or not...)

Hello sweet wonderful Duckie. I have thought of you many times since you have been away. My heart cries for your loss. I haven't been Gathering much myself lately, but it is great to see that smiling little duck back in the neighborhood. You take as much time as you want. We will all be waiting when you are ready.

Taking a peek and finding all these wonderful messages is a heart warmer. Thanks everybody!

The grandkids are all here, wanting time with their Duckie... They are putting a smile on my face. It is just the medicine I need. I have just been told it's time to make popcorn so we could watch "The Polar Express" before bedtime. I guess I better get busy! :-)
