Saving It For Later

Do you have any drafts saved to post later?

I always have drafts available for when I want to post. I save them under the title DONE after I've chosen all the groups for them so when I post later on, I just need to write and submit. Below is how my Drafts page looks.

I hadn't actually ever done that anywhere that I know. I'm new to gather, though I've been on here before, but not long enough for people to know who I am. In any case, that's a good idea. I am not sure how to post to several groups at the same time.

join different groups and then when it's time to post, just click on the option to allow everyone to view your post then choose the groups you want to post to.

good luck and hope you hang around because gather can be really great place to make friends and some enemies if you are naughty

Yea, I can understand that. It's one thing to be controversial on your own turf, but on others it can mean trouble... or so the t.v. series' shows!

I think that it's mostly for going ahead and writing your thoughts out in the morning, doing what needs to be done, then coming back on here and posting it when people are more active, etc.

Why try to post just when people are "active"? I have found, and commented on stuff that is 2 years old, if the topic looks interesting. Posts do seem to have a 12 hr life span of activity, then people quit looking.

No I don't. I don't post much as I can barely write my name and have it make sense. The stuff I share is stuff that happens in my life, I put it down and post it. Although, I've been running something through my mind the past couple of days that I might share, a complete departure from my usual (rare) stuff.

What a great idea! I've often wanted to post an article, but I don't have time to stay at the computer to see what the responses might be, so I just don't do it. Saving them would be ideal!

i find that way i can jot now different ideas and if they are all long, i can add details at different times and also do more research if I need

I am not nearly that organized. If anything, I'm scattered all over the place. I do wish I had more time to get some thoughts down on "paper". I've got plenty of things to talk about but only have time to comment. I guess that's a cop out.

I've used that feature once, and somehow lost it in cyberspace, when I went to post. Of course I tried that back when I use to do more posting. Now I post here and there. Tonite I put 2 of them up. Thats alot for me.

No, I do not make drafts to send later. I only make a draft when I get interrupted while typing and I can't finish. I never thought of making drafts and sending later. Hmmm...not a bad idea.

That's a really good idea. I most generally just post what I've written at the moment or maybe earlier in the day. I'll have to try saving them as drafts to have them ready.

No I saved a draft once and then was never able to retrieve it due to one of Gathers glitches. Saving it in Word seems like a safer alternative.
