I don't have much time to post, so I don't have any trolls. : )

When you were doing the good little trolly thing, it reminded me so much of Carrie Fisher in "Drop Dead Fred."

I turn off the ratings from time to time for the same reason! :)

I turn them off so the trollipops have somewhere else to go an harass others.

I am sorry I just cannot comprehend this troll thing I do not know what they are and what they do other than make you crazy!

I do think that there are some real prudes here and they like to report posts they find objectionable. I have thought today, after reading a post by another person who got flagged, to write to Gather and complain about the interference of the first amendment.

* Health issues (only those addressing genitalia or breasts) Yes guys there

I guess we are relegated to sharing recipes and gardening tips sounds like the zone of "The Stepford Wives (1975)" not a mind enriching place to live. That is just the way I see things.

i agree, the main thing with trolls that irritates me is that repeatedly being flag could get me kicked off the site.

flagging trolls also limit the number of ppl who can view my posts to only those whose gather gaurd is turned off.

baby-hating down-rating trolls are just rude and pissy

but the down-rating troll is pretty harmless in my pov

Amy, why no turn off your guarded view and ask your friends to do the same (they will understand and comply because most of us visit the same people's post and trust them not to be offensive)---I have turned off all save nudity. For obvious reasons. When you post if you tick off all save Nudity then no one can report you and that is what keeps Gather off of your back. If you or anyone is appropriately labeled Gather will not flag you no matter who and how many times they view your posts.

I am aggravated seeing those red warning signs at the top of the page when I open a post--it gets on my nerves and distracts from the read.

I think you or, anyone tempting fate will bring Gather to suspend you and that is not what you want. Take the cautious road and mark every post as....
At the bottom of the page before you click on "Submit"

I have some die-hard friends who have their gather gaurd on because they don't care for any of the rater r/x stuff. I would not be able to ask them to switch their guard off simply for my few posts.

they have it on for their own reasons and I just wouldn't feel right asking them to change it.

When I flag my own posts, I get 90% less page views, u can see the vast difference on my main posts page. I refuse to flag every article since i find even the ones I've flagged before posting still get flagged by the "community" for OTHER.

we will not always agree but that doesn't mean we can't gather together.

1) my posts STILL get flagged after I already flag them
2) I refuse to ask all my friends to turn off their gather guard
3) the way i gather maybe different from the way you do but that doesn't make either of our way the one and only right way

The only good thing I can say about trolls is that they are highly entertaining.

I don't get it, so they come to your page, read it, flag it as adult or something? then give you low ratings? is that what trolls do? Let me know please. I always hear about them but never know what they are. If that is what they do, they're bullies and cowards.

Exactly! and another thing I do not get is the views thing because I have a friend who posts only on weekends and we...all of his followers tried to increase his views and we could not even if we closed our browser between views. I just do not get this views v points, v ratings thing.

I did, and it works for me.
I inherited some trolls with some groups I took over.
Now they are 100% TROLL FREE!

If I start getting down rated, i laugh. I don't worry about anything but what my friends say about my writing. I would still write anyway, it is a part of me.

No kidding ... But I think some of the trolls are some of them they say they do not do it. You would be surpised how many would do it behind your back.
Thats why I just let roll ....its kind of funny to watch them play!!
