We have now entered into the digital world. There are now digital cameras, digital sound ~ is the radio station you listen to gone digital? Mine has. And now we will have digital TV. Next year if you don't have that converter box you will no longer be able to watch TV. Sounds like another way for the cable company to get more money out of you. What is your opinion about everything going digital?
Personally I have seen the new digital TVs and they are too detailed that they hurt my eyes. One of the radio stations I listen to has gone digital. I have to turn it down when the Dj's talk. There is something about the sound that just hurts my ears, like fingers on a chalk board.

Actually if you've got cable, you won't need to worry about the box.
When it comes to digital TV, with HDTV anyway, I would think it would be better for your eyes. Since we've gotten our HDTV I've noticed how blurry looking regular TV is.. that can't be good for your vision :)
Susan ~ You are welcome and thank you for letting me join! :)
Melanie ~ Really? I had no idea. Thanks for the info! LOL Maybe the TV I was looking at wasn't "tuned" in enough or something. LOL

But it is technology. Company's can't keep making the old stuff if it's only going to be broadcast to digital. And the time has come for us to make the change.
But don't you know that there are already technologies that are making the new stuff old hat :):) It never ends but as I look around me at all this stuff ... I love it :)
