Well - I'm finally moved in. 15 Jane Street has a "Hope Farm Bookshop" sign over the two front windows, and an OPEN flag flying when I'm there. Customers are trickling in - calling first (thank goodness 845-246-3522) but I'm usually open every afternoon from 12-5 (and here many more hours!)
Now it is time to plan my Spring.
February 6-8 is the NY Times Travel Show. My Press pass should arrive soon. I've been invited back to Rio for 7-10 days in March. Vancouver wants me, but waits on the airlines, (I'm not paying my own way.) A Los Cabos Culinary tour is either in early May or August. I'm also expecting to be invited to Tunisia again (I declined the last two trips) for the end of May, and I'm being considered for a "late Spring" Northeast Brazil trip. Finally, I'm hoping to be invited back to Italy. There's a May media trip to the Aeolian Islands and I want to go!
All I'm sure of is that each trip will hold the unique opportunity to taste the food and wine of the region. (not which region[s] I'll get to visit)
Plus - I'm getting signatures on a petition to put me on the Village ballot for the March elections. (I wonder if I can get an absentee ballot?)
Life is not dull

That is a good thing. Good luck with the elections.
Thanks David - I'll try.
