Newest additions to the grandstand line-up at the 2008 Illinois State Fair in Springfield are British pop star Natasha Bedingfield and American rocker Joan Jett. They join the announced line-up which includes Fergie, Weird Al Yankovic, Huey Lewis and the News, ZZ Top, Brooks and Dunn, Vanessa Hudgens, Trace Adkins, and Trent Tomlinson.
The 26-year-old Bedingfield has sold more than 10 million singles and albums worldwide. She performs with High School Musical star Vanesse Hudgins on August 16th.
Named one of Rolling Stone's 100 greatest gutarists of all time, Joan Jett opens for Huey Lewis and the News, Sunday, August 10th with her band the Blachearts. Jett and the Blackhearts have performed since the early 1980's and have eight platinum and gold albums. Jett has nine Top 40 hit singles and albums including the rock anthem "I Love Rock 'n' Roll."
Both concerts start at 8pm.
