I'm originally from Indiana. I had the privilege of visiting Boston a couple of times while I was in college and fell in love. Such a fun, interesting city! I'm not even a fan of big cities but Boston being so compact was perfect. Upon graduating in May of 2008 I made the decision to relocate here and look for a job. Fast forward to now I live in Boston and work nearby and could not be happier.
This weekend I have 4 of my college friends coming to visit for the weekend. 3 of them have been to Boston before, one has not. I'm trying to plan activities for us to do that would be fun for everyone. On Saturday I hope to take everyone down the freedom trail. There is so much history in this city and that's the perfect way to go about exploring it. Then I think I'll take them for dinner in the North End and for dessert at Mike's Pasty shop. I think I start salivating at the mere sight of that place. Sat night we might hit up some clubs downtown. I love to dance.
On Sunday morning I reserved tickets for us to go on the Duck tour. I've done it before but no one else has. They're so silly but so much fun. Then in the afternoon I planned for us all to take a canoe trip down the Charle's river. It will be a completely different look at the city. We'll go by BU, MIT, Harvard and the esplanade.
Unfortunately all these things require nice weather, and I can't even remember the last time we had nice weather for more than 1 day. I don't really have any rainy day activities planned just in case. Does anyone have any ideas?
