New Snap Happy Photo Theme ~ BRIDGES

The newest Snap Happy theme will be Bridges. Although the bridge should be the focus of the photo submitted, as long as there is a bridge in the shot it will be accepted.

I've included what photos I have that meet the criteria of this theme to give you some ideas. I don't have a lot of pictures that contain bridges. I had to go pretty far back in my archives to get some of these. Many are several years old and were taken with my very old digital camera.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Since I will be travelling for Easter, this theme will run through 5:00 pm EDT on Friday, April 17th. Please include "snap happy" and "bridges" and "bridge theme"  in your tags when submitting images to the group for this theme.

If you're not a group member and would like to participate, join here: http://snaphappy.gather.com/    Please read the group synopsis and guidelines before submitting images.  In short, no digitally altered photos will be accepted for judging. This group is for raw photography, not graphic design.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Please try to be selective and creative with your submissions. In other words DON'T post multiple photos of the same exact thing in the same setting. Only pick your BEST SHOTS to post to the group.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, please refrain from photo essays, articles and videos since they will not show up in the group gallery and thus will not be elligble for judging. I will accept them if they fit the theme, but just know they won't be included.

If it weren't for geocaching, I'd have NO bridge shots. Every single one of these was taken while geocaching.

Okay ... bridges. I have one. And it's not very good. Mmm... interesting.

I doubt I will send anything comparable to what you've already shown in any case. These are great shots of such a variety of bridges.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Geocaching? I'll look it up.

This is a great theme. I think that your photograph samples are beautiful even if take with an older camera. I don't think I have any right now, but I will keep my eyes open for some good shots. Enjoy your vacation and Happy Easter.

Darn, you already have some great photos there of bridges, with the old camera or not. I am so jealous of the photos you take. I have a couple of new photos that do concern bridges.

I have a possibly silly question. We have a bridge here with three 'branches'. Instead of crossing a body of water, it actually joins three together. It's known as the Tridge (tri-bridge I'm guessing). Is it O.K. to post those? I took some pictures, but wanted to be sure before I submitted them so you don't have to weed through them when I post my bridge pictures.
