I see green!!!!!!

I was peeking around in my flower beds today when I got home and much to my surprise, I noticed little green spikes starting to stick out of the ground! My lilies are starting to come up, as well as a few other types of flowers.  A couple of my flowers stayed green all winter long! I don't know how they managed that, but they are grown and completely green.  We got a lot of snow here this winter so I am not sure how that happened, but I'm not complaining!  I am going to try to take some pictures this weekend.  I love Spring!

Sarah it is wonderful. I am glad you're seeing green already. In New York, I don't see much yet. Except in Central Park I see little green fuzzy things sticking out.

I have green all around!!! My jonquills are in bloom, my roses are starting to show new life, my flowering crabapple tree is budding. Also .... my grass is starting to turn green, which means I have to get the mower out soon (Hmmmmm)

I've noticed some of the trees are budding. I love it but since I'm alergic to tree pollen it can make me miserable.

Woo hoo! I did notice the very miniscule beginnings of a couple of tulips in front of my house before I left this weekend. When I get home I hope they're blooming!

That's great!

Everything is still completely covered by snow here. We don't even see any brown patches of grass. I DID see birds yesterday, though, so that must mean that spring is close.
