Showing You Mine - Well Sorta...

Where I live is in such a state of disarray that I would be embarassed to show you any of the rooms, lol. So in order to support Ina's new group, I'm showing you a few rooms at my parent's home in Murrells Inlet, SC.  These photos were taken this past weekend when I was visiting.

Although it's a bit too much white for me, I love open floor plan style homes and condos. My last apartment was set up in a similar layout and I have missed it ever since I left it in late 2004.

 

If you walk into the back door from the terrace, you'll enter the sunroom (above). Standing in the same location and making a 180-degree turn, you'll be at the kitchen table and looking into the rest of the kitchen (below).

You then turn 90-degrees and look into the living room.

Here's another view of the living room, kitchen table area and sunroom if entering from the hallway...

You can see Sparky's dog toys scattered about in some of the shots. My mom keeps a rather tidy home though. It's certainly a lot cleaner than where I live now, lol.

This is a beautiful home. I agree with you, I enjoy a bit more color, but I love the open floor plan! I wish my home was more open. Eventually when we redo the kitchen we are hoping to open it up to the dining room to make it feel a bit more spacious.

Their kitchen reminds me of mine!
I try and keep our home clean, but because we moved from an apartment to a house a year ago, the house is still very ... well it's stark. My husband and I are from two different worlds. I come from a home of collectors/savers and he from a home that doesn't dor hardly either.

I love this and love the white too!!! That sunroom is to die for...........that is the one room I want to badly. I've asked Hubby to let's turn our porch into a sunroom and he just walks the other way!!! LOL

Love, love, love the sunroom. I have been talking about adding one onto the back of the house where we have a huge patio that doesn't get nearly enough use.

I like that it is open and airy though, always feel better in that type of environment.

Beautiful home! I'm hoping that, once we get all our remodeling done, ours will look somewhat similar! I really love the sofas!!!!! My house is way, way too cluttered.....gotta get rid of it all!
