I cannot believe the incompetence of the Florida Healthy Kids/Florida Medikids program. I'm soooo frustrated. I've posted before about how I've been going in circles with them for MONTHS trying to get my kids health insurance renewed. I keep getting cancellation notices saying they don't have all my info. I call and they say they DO have it but it hasn't been processed for this dept or that dept. Then they finally say it's because I didn't pay the premium (um...what premium if they aren't approved and why didn't I receive notice of owing???). Finally about 2 weeks ago I was told that my youngest's info was sent to Medikids and was awaiting processing and I should have an answer in a week. I've heard nothing but received yet another cancellation notice. Call them back and I'm told that it's on hold because I haven't picked a plan. HOW THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW TO PICK A PLAN if she's not approved yet and no one notifies me that I'm supposed to do this??? ARGH. So, I pick a plan but still can't seem to find out if she's approved or not yet. But, I've been reinstated for December.
This is unreal. No one seems to know how to do their jobs. Notices are not being sent out telling me what I'm supposed to be doing. I guess I'm supposed to read minds.....
Maybe, just maybe, next week I'll find out if she has coverage or not. It's only taken me 6 months so far. At this rate it will be time for annual renewal again before they get this resolved. *sigh*

What an incredible hassle. It's taken them at least 10 times the minutes it would have taken to do it right the first time. Or second. Or third....
