The Concord Covered Bridge is 131.7 feet long and 16 feet wide. It was built in 1872. This bridge is open to traffic and bridge passes over Nickajack Creek.

Located just a few miles from my home, the Concord Bridge is the focal point of the Concord Covered Bridge Historic Area. The Silver Comet Trail and several hiking spur trails also run through this historic area. In addition, the area also has remnants from Ruff's Mill, the scene of a Civil War battle. Ruins of the dam are still upstream from the bridge as well as parts of the old grist mill.

I have photos from here already, but they were taken during the winter months since the dead vegitation allows for a much better view of the structure. The photos within this article were all taken today in the midst of the Georgia afternoon heat and abundant sunshine. Needless to say, they are not very good. But since it's for summerpics, who cares!
There are several photos attached of the bridge, Nickajack Creek and also the surrounding area on both sides of the structure.
