Disagree, at least he didnt sell it to me.
I was too busy watching LSU beat Texas in the College World Series. Geaux Tigers!!!
I'm sure he was trying to sell it, but I didn't buy it. Of course I did not watch it either. But regardless we can't affort it. We have an $11,000,000,000,000+ deficit.
Don't you mean:
"President Obama tried to "pitch" his health care plan on ABC last night"??
Did you throw it back to him? : )
lol
I didn't watch so I didn't buy it.
ABC sold its sole to Obama.
I do not watch any of these political cranks on TV any more. No matter which party it is its just more lies and hype from propaganda speech writers.
"ABC sold its sole to Obama."
So ABC is walking around barefoot now?
Only in your limited mind capacity ass hole.
Great name calling, Jack.
Guess I probably should have called you some names instead of making a joke out of it, eh?
I don't call media sellout anything to joke about.
Well, ABC is in the business of making money. It's not as if this show was presented as a journalistic expose' that would reveal truths that had been hidden.
ABC news is a public news service that is supposed to be giving us the news as it is not just Obama's version. Their sellout is broadcasting from the white house and supporting political propaganda, the same thing the democrats cry about with FOX media.
If they want to make money let them put on entertainment instead of turning the media into a sideshow.
That's the point, Jack. This show wasn't an official or a regular ABC News program; it was an infomercial.
And I've never seen such a show on FOX; although admittedly I don't watch that channel very much. FOX (especially the FOX News channel) is ridiculed for the obvious bias of their reporters, pundits and their reporting; not for putting on arranged town hall meetings that are NOT candid.
Bill I believe you are talking about Obama's last prime time speech, I am talking about ABC broadcasting their political news from the white house every evening.
If you remember back just before the election ABC refused to sell Obama air time for his campaign speeches saying he was toking up to much program time, now they have sold out to him and this just shows the media is just out to make a buck and not report in an honest way the news that the public has a right to.
Not to me. I lived with social medicine for a spell. I know what that means. It benefits NOBODY! Believe me.
Believe me, I believe you, Gul..........
wait and watch
I, for one, watched and bought it.
I don't watch American Bamamation Channel all that much. If the used car salesman was on I would not know and I woluld not buy it anyway,.
I'm sure Mr. no change will use his new TV corporation to sell Obama Motors.
I hope his pitch at the upcoming All-Star game comes a little closer to the plate.
I hope he cancels out of the Hollywood hype he puts on and get some of the work done we are paying him to do.
I believe he made a very clever attempt at doing so but I suspect it did not sell well with most who were interested enough to watch it.
Not to me...
I already have a health plan that I like, but there are those who do need help. I'm not sure his is the answer, but we do need something.
I agree with Sharon. We do need something. However, corporate and governmental greed and corruption are at the root of the mess that our nation's health and health care system are in.. Without even mentioning the cause of that....... Can't see it doing much good at all by putting another bandaid on the gangrene wounds.... One that will most likely evolve into socialism at that.. Amputate the root and allow the healing to begin....... I believe there are still enough sane minded folks left in this country to possibly attempt to pull it off?
I hope so. The insurence companies do need policing by some one, but I'm not sure that the Feds make good cops.
Believee it or not there IS an Insurance Commission.
I've heard that, buttttt................
I didn't watch last night. Public speeches bore me to tears.
I'm with Angela ... I didn't watch. I'll pay attention when it is shoved down our throats!
thanks
i didn't watch it.
I didn't watch it, either.
I didn't watch
Missed it... have no idea. I can't watch or listen to him.
I support President Obama, but I hope that we go slow, study the health plans of other countries, and end up with the best in the world.
That is the problem. Obama and Pelosi are rushing into this with no thinking behind it.
He seems to think he's on a speedway, I have to agree. Of course, the Reps on on the Turtle runway to no where.
Just another way of showing his Socialist attitude. How many ways is he going to run our lives?
Well, he tried to.
I watched about half of it, then turned it off. The whole thing seemed too contrived for me; like one of those hour long infomercials that plague the airwaves on Sunday mornings. I wasn't hearing anything new; everything talked about how much we need things to be changed; but no detailed or concrete plans that would actually benefit people seemed to be stated. Then I started worrying taht the whole thing would turn out to be just another boon for the private health care industries, rather than provide any tangible benefit for hurting people. There just wasn't any change presented that I felt hopeful about, so I clicked the remote and became fascinated in hearing about King Herod's impressive construction projects.
I like the word infomercial in there. It fits.
He didn't sell it to me.
did not watch it
Did not watch it..
I didn't watch it; like Teresa, I try not to listen to or watch him. However, if someone could contact Georgiana (hope I got that right), she may have firsthand experience w/socialized medicine. I have heard some scary things about it. I am a 100% disabled veteran; I don't have room to list all my ailments here, plus you would get bored and fall asleep reading them. I hope I am permitted to continue receiving the bulk of my care from the VA. Here in Arkansas, we are truly blessed. We have caregivers and staff who truly care and do their best to give us their best, no matter how overwhelmed they get by volume. I see some providers on what we call "the outside" who make it very clear they are managed by an HMO, are in it for the money, and see as many patients an hour as they can-socialized medicine would only make that worse. Sorry, didn't mean to ramble on so.
The 'scary' news about socialized medicine is all you would here in this country when this govt we have 'working for us' just wants to keep working against us and certainly in their toe of trust. I for one, see the better, wiser side of socialized medicine but heck who wants to hear from me ? This country of either party seems hell-bent on proving any country with socialized medicine is headed for Marxism because they are ignorant and led to believe misinformation . . .
Wouldn't it be nice if sometime we got the truth?
Yes.
I didn't watch it.
I'm sorry I didn't watch it either.
I was too busy to watch. Had to brush my dog.
I did not watch it but I don't believe everything I hear and read about socialized medicine; it really is NOT worse than what we don't have in existence now: universal healthcare ! At least doctors over there give a damn about your true 'wellness' while here its more about, "how much of the contents of your wallet both plastic and paper, can I swipe ?"
My main concern about national health care is how it will be paid for. I want all people to have the benefit of good medical care but I'm already seeing in medicare that certain procedures are passed on by Drs. because Medicare won't pay for them. My Dr. wanted to do a blood test on me for a problem she thought I might be having but was told Medicare wouldn't cover it.
Also, how are procdures determined for all? I have a friend in my 70 age bracket who will be having extensive major surgery for a aortic anuersym, and possible valve replacement--under a national program, would they consider her age and determine it wasn't practical for someone of her years to have an expensive operation?
Just a couple things that I'm concerned about. How about if someone gets in there and determination is made against non workers--that people on welfare shouldn't be given expensive medical procedures. It's possible that could become a reality too. Who will determine the standards of who gets what kind of care? Think about it.
We already have insurance companies saying no to lots of things. Why is this suddenly an issue as if it's new ? Of course there has to be limits. Should a 90 year old get a liver transplant ??? Those issues have always been there and always will be.
Being on Medicare, I second that. Plus, my doctor hates all that paperwork.
ooops missed it.
One way to pay for something is just to use the money we're already using a lot better. They say we pay a lot more than any other country for care that is a lot worse.
Peter, will you please run for Congress--you are one smart dude.
Got my vote.
My vote too.
Peter, you are wise. I missed it too, but if Obama has a better plan, we all will profit.
I didn't watch it, but i still don't buy it, either way.
I didn't watch it. Didn't even know it was going to be on. I don't like the "change" our country is heading for, and the changes that have already happened. I am sure his infomercial was just some more of his polished double speak just as his whole campaign was to begin with.
I didn't see it
Disagree. Most of those who few who watched it were already as sold as the slected sound room audience. This thing is being gamed like most issues in this country today.
Sorry for the lack of commitment on this question Mary: I didn't see it (I try not to watch T), I'm already sold on the subject and (from the looks of these comments) wish you luck in getting the rest of your citizens covered.
I didn't watch it. But lets all hope it was good.
He may well have done so, having NO competition whatsoever. No commercial time was sold to insurance companies during the evening of ABC's airing of the president's plan.
CAN WE SAY BIG BROTHER? Sure, we can. Wake up, America. We're being programmed, censored and policed in some extremely un-Constitutional ways.
