Thoughts at Brunch

So many things on my table
Time restraints too
If edible or unable
What should I do
But look beyond expanse of sky
Simple but true
With faith and hope, shining rainbow in view

A stitch in time may save nine lines
Some familiar
Smiles to embrace
Who will notice frays at the seam
Silver sun dreams
Blue skies ordered for everyone
With timeless flight
Being in the rigor of youth

Such a red sky, sailors' delight
Tides meant to feed
Loving all of God's creation
The bending reed
Young to old, coaxing out peace
On loving roads
Our provider
The shining light upon the hill

Each clown holds a genuine smile
By choice of paint
Each hue remains
With layers of experience
Floating, drifting, saying good-byes
Thank you passions
Always keep that glint in your eye

A nice misty rain this morning
And with vigor
Leaves showing off splendid colors
Not one bit shy
Remembering many moons ago
The world seemed slow
With hearts racing
Two lovers started a fine life

Today is the first day to breathe
Yesterday knows
It bows and leaves
For things will never be the same
Fingerprint left
Sun and rain had nourished and fed
Till leaves falling
So gently welcome soil as friend
