Irises Blooming In My Yard (Photo Essay)

Before I left to take Sammie to get her settled in at college, I took a bunch of pictures of the Irises blooming in my yard. I liked it, because they were all at various stages of development. Since we were so busy at the time, I never got the chance to post the pictures. With the summer picture promotion going on now, though, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share them with you.

These are pictures of the Irises as buds. 

Here the buds are just starting to open.

This one is almost open.

Here they are in various stages of development.

Finally, here they are in full bloom.

Unfortunately, I didn't have many white Irises this year, and the pictures of the buds didn't turn out very well. This is the only good picture I got of the white ones.

I think that these are Irises, too, but a different variety than the ones above.

Thank you for looking at my Irises. I hoped you enjoyed the pictures almost as much as I enjoyed looking at the real ones.
